This privacy statement applies to all the personal data that we process of you, as this is part of the services that ShipitSmarter carries out worldwide. This statement applies to all customers who purchase services from ShipitSmarter and for all users of the ShipitSmarter website. We also enter into a processing agreement with customers, if this conflicts with this privacy statement, then the processing agreement prevails.

For our service, we process your contact details (name, job title, (business) mobile number, (business) email address, IP address). ShipitSmarter processes your personal data for various purposes:

If you visit our website, fill in our contact form or sign up for the newsletter, the goal is to gain new business. For the use of cookies on our website, please refer to our cookie policy; If you are in contact with ShipitSmarter, for example by telephone, e-mail or via Skype, to aim that this contact is as optimal as possible; For analysis with the aim of process improvement, lead generation and the development of services; For the preparation of Client Cases with the purpose of lead generation.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will process your personal data because of your consent. In advance we will ask you for your one-off consent via the website or by e-mail.

Website visit, analysis, and tracking

If you visit our website, we process personal data because of a legitimate interest.

Contact

If we contact you, we will do so because of your consent or because of a legitimate interest. If you contact ShipitSmarter, you thus give us your consent to process your personal data.

If we process your personal data because of a legitimate interest, we have considered that this is vital for ShipitSmarter and for our operations, that we process general personal data such as your name, business mobile number and business e-mail address in which we do not harm your interests.

5.1 What we do not do

ShipitSmarter does not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing, sales, and other business activities.

5.2 What do we do

ShipitSmarter cooperates with various parties to provide you with the best possible service. For this, we sometimes provide personal data to a third party or we receive personal data from a third party, such as a hosting company. To protect your rights, we enter into a processing agreement with these third parties.

In addition, our website uses analysis and tracking cookies. We use them to optimize our website for our visitors by analyzing how they use our website. With the parties who provides these cookies, ShipitSmarter enters into a processing agreement to agree upon how they process our data.

Newsletter

ShipitSmarter sends out newsletters on a regular basis. We store the required personal data for as long as you are registered for our newsletter. You can always unsubscribe by clicking on ‘unsubscribe’ in the newsletter. You will then immediately be unsubscribed from the newsletter. If you have unsubscribed from the newsletter, we will delete your personal data within six months. We need this time for administrative processing.

Web hosting

When you visit our website, our web hosting party registers your IP address. Only your IP address is visible to us and we do not use any software to retrieve your personal data. Your IP address is stored by our hosting party for a maximum of seven days, this is a standard procedure.

Contact form and customer database

When you enter your personal data in our contact form on our website, your personal data will be directly and securely uploaded to our customer database. We then store your personal data for a maximum of two years, as this implies to the type of our services. If you become a customer with ShipitSmarter, we will store your personal data in our customer database for as long as you remain our customer, except for the personal data that we, for legal reasons, are required to keep for a longer period. If it appears that your company is not interested in our services, we will store the data for a maximum of six months regarding the administrative processing of deleting personal data.

Business cards

ShipitSmarter regularly receives business cards, e.g. during an event. The personal data of your card are processed in our customer database and, if applicable, linked to previously collected personal data. If it comes to an agreement, and you become a customer with ShipitSmarter, your personal data will be processed and stored in the way that applies to all ShipitSmarter customers and as per processing agreement. After we have received your business card, we do not intend to send you for example an unannounced newsletter. We will always ask you in advance for your one-off consent by e-mail.

Client cases

If you cooperate with one of our Client Cases and we process your personal data for it, then the retention period will be defined in the underlying agreement of our cooperation.

7. Security

ShipitSmarter is an IT company that offers online services. We understand that the proper and safe processing of data and personal data is very important. For this ShipitSmarter has taken technical and organizational security measures. For example, our employees have signed a confidentiality clause in their employment contract and we have concluded processing agreements with companies that process personal data for us. These procedures guarantee an appropriate level of security, this implies to the type of the personal data that needs to be protected and the way of processing.

8. Your rights

You have various rights that you can exercise in relation to ShipitSmarter regarding the processing of your personal data. Below we explain which rights they concern and under section 9 you can find how you can contact us to exercise these rights. Please do clearly state which right you refer to. Your request will be processed within the legal deadline. ShipitSmarter may make an exception to exercise these rights if it is obliged or entitled to do so on legal or other sufficient grounds.

You have the right to have your personal data corrected if they are incorrect.

8.3 Right to erasure

If you have previously given (explicit) consent to ShipitSmarter for the use of your personal data, but you withdraw this consent now, then ShipitSmarter will remove this personal data as soon as possible. However, some time may pass before your personal data has been removed from all files due to the administrative processing. As soon as your personal data have been removed, you will be informed.
