Built by ShipitSmarter, a logistics technology pioneer with more than 26 years of experience, Viya brings enterprise-grade shipping innovation to every organisation. Our mission is simple: to make powerful shipping automation accessible, adaptable, and effortless for companies of any size or industry. By combining deep logistics expertise with modern, cloud-native technology, Viya helps teams streamline operations, reduce manual work, and gain full visibility across carriers and processes. We believe that when shipping becomes smarter, businesses move faster and customers benefit from a more reliable and transparent supply chain.
Why We Built Viya
After 26 years of building and refining shipping technology, we wanted to create something new. Viya was born from our desire to remove old limitations and design a platform that truly reflects everything we have learned about scalability, security, and self-sufficiency.
Our previous Transport Management System served global organisations for decades, but over time, legacy decisions began to limit the speed of innovation. We wanted to build a platform that could evolve as quickly as our customers' needs. With Viya, we started from a clean slate. Free from legacy dependencies, we had the freedom to rethink every part of the system and apply everything we learned from 26 years of experience. The result is a modern, scalable, and secure platform that empowers businesses to manage their shipping independently while staying ready for whatever the future brings.
How We Are Organised
Being a product organisation, meaning products are the responsibility of empowered product teams, the organisation consists of three product teams accompanied by a commerce, a support and a delivery team. Each team is ideally sized between three and eight people, giving space to the drive, experience, creativity and knowledge of all team members. Our office is located in Hilversum where most of our colleagues enjoy a hybrid working pattern, bouncing off ideas and having fun when being physically together, enjoying efficiency and personal creativity when working from home.

ShipitSmarter is privately owned. This results in a high commitment and motivation to do what is in the best interest of the company and its customers.
Join Us
We're a diverse group of people with a shared love for innovation and grilled cheese sandwiches. Our lunch conversations range from home improvement projects to music and whether or not getting Botox at 30 is part of a pop star's job description.
We've fully embraced hybrid working. Our sweet spot is spending two days a week together in the office. On the other days, everyone is free to enjoy individual contributor time from home. Even though we all like to take the initiative and figure out solutions on our own, we're also generous in sharing our knowledge and expertise with each other.
