Viya sends structured despatch advice messages (typically via EDI or file exchange) confirming what exactly has been collected or dispatched. This enables the carrier to plan their operations and update their systems with accurate shipment information.

The carrier provides tracking updates as structured data files (e.g. EDI, CSV, or XML). Viya processes these files automatically, extracts status events, and maps them to the corresponding shipments.

A direct link to the carrier's own tracking page is available for each shipment. This allows you or your customers to view the carrier's native tracking interface alongside the normalised tracking in Viya.
